GIVING BACK

Dear Customers,
I consider myself very fortunate that Kidillow has been so well received. I believe in sharing Kidillow's success with the community through charitable donations. Kidillows and product scraps are regularly donated to groups and organizations.  Kidillow is particularly proud to support:

Stitchin' Mission (www.stitchinmission.org)

Stitchin’ Mission is an interdenominational, community-building ministry, teaching beginner quiltmaking in a faith-filled, encouraging, and fun environment resulting in quilts for missions throughout the world.

As of December 2011, Stitchin' Mission has donated over 1,000 quilts to missions in 13 countries around the world.

My Brother's Keeper Ugly Quilt Project
The Ugly Quilt Project began in 1985 when founder Flo Wheatley devised the process of making sleeping bags for the homeless from scrap material. The idea grew and is carried on by a group of women in Prairie City, Iowa.

Last year, the group made 2500 quilts. To date they've made over 16,000. While the majority of quilts are distributed to Des Moines area shelters and outreach programs, these labors of love have gone to victims of disasters around the world, including New Orleans, Kentucky, Africa, Mexico and Haiti.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (www.afsp.org)

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is the leading not-for-profit organization exclusively dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research and education and to reaching out to people with mood disorders and those impacted by suicide.
